ITSOTM has been selected for the Mountain Film in Telluride festival, which happens Memorial Day weekend May 27-30th in beautiful Telluride, Colorado. We’re very pleased to be recognized there as it is one of the USA’s leading mountain film festivals. The schedule is not out yet, but they’ve just put together a new nice-looking website. If anyone is in Telluride, check out the festival! There’s going to be some outdoor screenings this year at Telluride Town Park, what a great way to kick off the summer.
Many thanks to Mountain Film for the recognition, we are honored to be a part of this year’s festival program. And we are so happy that our film will be shown to an audience in such a dynamic mountain climbing community as Colorado.
The film will be making it’s Wanaka premiere at the 2011 Festival of Colour, which is in conjunction with the Wildsouth film festival. ITSOTM will be screened at the Cinema Paradiso at the following times:
Tuesday April 12th 6pm – Hugh Barnard will be giving a brief talk before this session!
Thursday April 14th 8pm
Friday April 15th 10am (for the earlybirds!)
We are proud to announce that our film has been awarded the prize of “Best Director” at the 2011 Mountain Film Festival in Mammoth, California. This is the first festival that we’ve been accepted to and are deeply grateful to MMF for this honor. The filmmakers Hugh & Max are however currently in NZ and were regretfully not able to trek all the way to the Sierra Nevada range to be in attendance at this prestigious festival.
